Suspension Components

Our MIII independent from suspension system is based on the popular Mustang II front suspension, but we have gone through and changed the geometry to improve the handling characteristics. This is a self contained coil-over IFS. Comes with crossmember, upper towers, tube control arms, spindles, 11′ disc brakes, manual rack and pinion steering and front swaybar. There is a power steering upgrade available as well as Wilwood brake upgrades. We have kits for 32-34 Ford Cars and pickups, 35-48 Ford cars and 35-41 Ford pickups, 48-56 Ford F-1, F100 pickups, 47-59 GM pickups, plus others. We can build kit for custom units also. Wilwood forged Mustang II spindles. These are available as an upgrade to our MIII front suspension and are used exclusively on our 32-34 IFS.

Dropped axles for early Ford based street rods. These are available in I-beam and tube. I-beams axles are available in various widths, depending on application. They are available drilled and chrome. Tube axles are available in various widths depending on application. They are available chrome. Call for prices and application.

Forged round back Ford spindles. These fit all early Ford axles and aftermarket axles. They use bolt-on steering arms and accept early Ford brakes as well as aftermarket disc brake kits. Front U-bolt eliminator kit. Two tabs weld to front crossmember, eliminating the U-bolts and giving more room on top of the crossmember for radiator clearance. Fits 28-34 reproduction crossmembers. $52.50

Front sway bar kit for 35-48 Ford with axle front suspension. This is a 1″ bar, 25% larger than stock. Will attach to our front shock kit or original front perch pins except 1940. $185.00

Bolt-on front panard rod kit. Designed to bolt to driver side frame rail and to axle. For 35-40 Ford-$95.00.

Trans mounts/wishbone splitting kits. Kits include trans mount plate with wishbone mounts welded to it, wishbone weld bungs, tie rod ends and mounting hardware. Our hairpin front radius rods for 28-34 Ford. Hairpins are made from 7/8″ DOM chrome moly tubing. These come with clevises on the front for fine tuning the caster angle. Batwings are fabricated from 3/8″ steel plate and machined perch pin bungs. Passenger side batwing features panard rod mount. Available with urethane bushed adjuster or tie rod ends, please specify.
